General Orthopaedics
Orthopaedics encompasses a wide spectrum of care, from treating fractures (broken bones) and dislocations of the extremities, the non-surgical treatment of arthritis with injections of Synvisc, Hyalgan, Euflexxa to total joint replacement for arthritis of the joints. We also treat sprains and strains of muscles and ligaments. Orthopaedic surgery also includes the management of masses (growths) on the extremities.
Patient Visits
A testament to our practice is the percent of patients who return to us for help with new problems.

Total joint surgery through minimally invasive incisions
When an arthritic hip, knee or shoulder has reached a degree where the pain can no longer be managed by non-surgical means the patient may be a candidate for an artificial joint.
In the last several years a lot of attention has been given to MINI INCISION Total Joint Replacement Surgery. Through modified instrumentation the procedures can now be done through an incision that is about 3-4 inches long. That is substantially smaller than the traditional incision of about 12-14 inches. This surgery is performed with less bleeding and less tissue damage, leaves a more cosmetic scar and according to some sources results in faster rehabilitation. Dr Azer has been performing Total Joint Replacement through a mini incision for approximately ten years.
We have designed instrumentation specifically for MINI INCISION SURGERY. The instrumentation is currently marketed for use by other orthopaedic surgeons.
